Kempston Athletic FC, who are sponsored by IMS, have so far had a very successful season. Following on from a somewhat disappointing first season as a club last year, the turn-around this year has been significantly better. They started the season on a 7 game win streak, recording 28 goals scored and only 2 conceded. Which left them sitting comfortably at the top of the table. They then hit a bump in the road as they suffered a painful 2-1 defeat to Athletic FC, who are 2nd in the league. It took the wind out of the club at the time; however, throughout the week the lads regrouped and worked hard in training. This resulted in their next 3 games ending with 7-0, 7-0, and 5-1 victories.
As the calendar year comes to a close, Kempston sits at the top of the league with 11 wins, 1 loss, 48 goals scored, and 5 goals conceded. Kempston Athletic would like to thank IMS for the wonderful support and the generous sponsorship this year, which have helped us drive the club forward.
