It was a very eventful and busy evening with 42 fighters and 21 fights where we have all raised £8270 for a number of different charities.
Personally, I am very happy I was able to take part in this event and raise £600 for Cancer Research UK.
The 12 weeks of training were very long and difficult, the preparation was definitely the most difficult part of the entire event, to eat a bit less to make weight and train even harder than before was incredibly challenging.
I also had the chance to train alongside professionals, learning more about boxing and ultimately, falling in love with the Art of Boxing.
Although the fight didn’t go my way, liver shots are not necessarily fun, I’d like to thank everyone that wished me luck, supported me and donated for this incredible cause. Cancer is not a joke unfortunately and it’s a very cruel disease, happy we are able to make a difference and help power the important research CRUK does. — Robert Ignat (Engineering Team)
